Salsa Verde

 

  • Place tomatillos in water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until tomatillos become soft (about 8-10 minutes).
  • Remove tomatillos from water and let cool.
  • Remove the core from each tomatillo and place in food processor with remaining ingredients.
  • Process until smooth.

Ingrdients

  • 6 tomatillos
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 sweet onion
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • 2t cumin
  • 1T oregano
  • 1T capers
  • 2 Serrano chilis or more to taste
  • 2t kosher salt
  • Juice of 1 lime
