An East-Asian inspired dipping sauce that is great for cold soba noodles, meatballs, and about anything else you want to dip.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 T white sugar
- 1 T mirin
- 1 t white miso paste (shiro miso) – optional
- 1-2 fresh green chilis, sliced thin
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lime (juice of)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 scallion, thinly sliced
preparation
- Put sugar, garlic, and chilis in a mortar and pestle and grind to a paste.
- Put paste in bold and add other ingredients.
- Stir well until sugar is dissolved.
